Celia Wilson M.Sc, B.Sc., PGCE, Dip. Hum. Psych.
I spent much of my early working life as a research physicist, in nuclear fusion research . As a result of personal circumstances (handling a bereavement) I became interested in Co-counselling, which I have practised and taught (CCI) for many years.
Later, I was an organisational consultant helping for example, Oxfordshire Education Department acquire Investors in People status. These gave me a taste for clear evidence and effective project management. As my interest in the human side grew, I applied my expertise as a teacher, trainer and personal development facilitator, now the main focus of my work.
A qualified teacher of adults, I have taught , for example, physics, assertiveness, co-counselling and Humanistic Psychology. After my IDHP Diploma in 2008, I initiated and brought to fruition the first experiential Humanistic Psychology course in Oxford and Cherwell Valley Further Education College. I am active in the Independent Practitioners' Network and a member of the Oxford Group.
A lifelong interest in both local and national politics fuels my desire to see change in favour of emotional competence and personal empowerment in the political world.
I enjoy my parenting and grandparenting and hope to ride standing up on a surfboard soon.
